
Gonzalo Mejia, a director-producer based in South Florida, brings a diverse cultural background shaped by his upbringing in Ecuador and life in the United States. His passion for filmmaking sparked from a lifelong love for movies and an appreciation for the emotional impact of storytelling.
His narrative directorial work has earned acclaim in numerous global film festivals. Notably, his short film, 'Las Llaves, El Gato y Un Pez Negro,' won five awards, including Best Foreign Language Film at the Orlando Film Festival.
Currently, Gonzalo serves as the Director of Media Production Services at the University of Miami's Frost School of Music. His deep involvement with the school has led to his production and direction of several significant music projects, including nationally televised television shows that have received Emmy nominations. Additionally, as the founder of Bananas Films, he channels his storytelling passion into serving private clients.
